Overview and Purpose of the KE21V Head

This cylinder head is supplied as a dedicated replacement for the KE21V engine series and is intended to be a direct-fit part. Its primary roles are sealing the combustion chamber and supporting the head gasket and glow plug assembly in model nitro engines.

Fit and compatibility: the component is marked for the KE21V family; always verify the mounting hole pattern and glow plug clearance against your existing head before fitting. Never force a mismatched part into place.

Installation notes: clean the mating surfaces thoroughly, select the correct head gasket thickness from the engine kit, and tighten screws in a crisscross sequence to avoid distortion. Confirm glow plug seating and thread engagement when reinstalling. Do not overtighten bolts.

Tuning role: while the head does not change core engine geometry, its sealing integrity and thermal transfer influence compression stability and running characteristics. Replace damaged or distorted heads to restore predictable tuning and performance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The head is intended for KE21V engines; check that bolt spacing and glow plug position match your engine before proceeding with installation.
Prepare by cleaning contact surfaces and confirming gasket choice. A steady hand and correct driver size are all that is normally needed.
A compromised head can cause inconsistent compression and uneven heat transfer, which makes needle settings and running less predictable. Restoring a solid seal often fixes tuning instability.
Tighten evenly and avoid over-torque. Use the engine kit gasket thickness and follow the recommended sequence to prevent distortion or thread damage.
