The hard alumite finish improves wear resistance but the servo is not specified as waterproof. Keep it protected from direct water and heavy contamination.

How do I check for bearing wear?

Listen for roughness when moving the output shaft by hand and check for play. If you notice grit or uneven spin the bearings should be serviced or replaced.
