The KO Propo 35522 Hybrid 1st Metal Gear is aimed at owners who want a more robust drivetrain in their KO Propo units. It replaces the original plastic gear in PS-2174, PDS-2344, and PDS-2364 servos to better withstand heavy use.

Why Swap Plastic for Metal?

Metal gears tolerate higher loads and reduce the chance of failure if a linkage locks or the servo faces sudden resistance. Even so, pair the metal gear with a servo saver to avoid passing damaging shocks to the servo motor and other gears.

Quick Installation Advice

Installation is normally quick and requires minimal adjustments. Make sure the gear meshes cleanly and that a compatible servo saver is installed to protect the rest of the servo system.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some KO Propo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

Will this fit other KO Propo servos?

This part was made for PS-2174, PDS-2344, and PDS-2364. Other servo types may not be compatible without confirmation of spline size and dimensions.

Yes. A servo saver helps prevent hard impacts from transferring through the metal gear into the motor and remaining plastic gears.

Should I change my setup after fitting?
