The Kyosho 30625 brings a celebrated RC name back into active competition with thoughtful hardware upgrades. The Ultima first earned attention in the late '80s and its return keeps the original character while improving durability and tuning range for present-day circuits.
The reissued 1/10 Ultima EP 2WD keeps the classic monocoque silhouette but now uses aircraft-grade A6061T6 aluminium for the main chassis plate. That change increases torsional rigidity without adding unnecessary mass, aiding cornering and stability.
With a double wishbone suspension inspired by the OPTIMA layout, the car accepts a wide range of shock and spring setups. Large oil shocks and a reinforced shock tower simplify adjustments, while metal bushings in the steering deliver consistent tracking under load.
Modern touches include a factory-installed slipper clutch to limit shock to the drivetrain and a finer 48-pitch gear module to smooth power delivery. The motor guard comes standard, protecting the motor and supporting nearby components.
The Ultima EP 2WD cross-references vintage appeal and present-day parts, suiting racers who want an authentic look with straightforward setup and maintenance.
