To mark its 60th milestone, Kyosho has reissued the 30644 FANTOM EP 4WD Ext Gold Edition with period styling and contemporary parts. This 1/12 scale model targets hobbyists who enjoy setup work as much as on-track performance.

Anniversary parts and suspension tuning

The kit features gold anodized aluminium components that echo the celebratory theme. A rear ball differential driven through a 6mm carbon shaft improves rotational stability, and the standard EFW014 adjustable rear shock offers a wide range of tuning for corner entry and mid-corner balance.

Stable ladder chain 4WD platform

The proven ladder chain 4WD system remains, delivering consistent behaviour on lower grip surfaces. The black FRP double-deck chassis provides strength with controlled flex, and a front reinforcement plate helps maintain predictable steering. Adjustable oil shocks and a 3-point suspension layout contribute to consistent handling.

Options for setup and styling

Builders receive pre-glued tyres and an unpainted shell for personal liveries. The model uses a lightweight carbon rear shaft and a special wheel bolt for durability. If extra rear downforce is needed, an optional wing can be fitted.
