Designed for KE21SP and KE25SP engines, the Kyosho 74031-13-1B Air Cleaner Sponge helps prevent dust and grit from entering the engine. The two sponges in the pack give you an immediate replacement on hand for quick servicing between sessions.

Fits KE21SP and KE25SP

These foams match the original air cleaner shape to ensure proper sealing and filtration. Replacing a clogged sponge reduces the risk of abrasive particles reaching internal engine parts and affecting longevity.

Fitting Notes

Removal and refit take just a few minutes: open the airbox, remove the old sponge and place the new one so it seats evenly. Check the sponge condition regularly after dusty runs and swap to the spare when necessary.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

How do I tell if the sponge needs replacing?

Look for visible dirt build up, thinning, or a compressed feel. Any damage or heavy clogging means it is time for a replacement.

Is trimming the sponge ever necessary?

Only trim if the original sponge was modified and a small adjustment is needed for a snug fit. Trim sparingly to avoid gaps that let dust through.

Will this affect engine tuning?

The sponge itself does not change engine tuning. Keeping the intake clean helps the engine run consistently, which makes tuning more predictable.
