Compact oil-damped shocks for the FAZER FZ02

This short oil shock set is a replacement oil-damped suspension pack intended for the FAZER Mk2 FZ02 touring car platform. It serves as a direct upgrade to short-style shocks, keeping the build within RC touring car scale use while improving the chassis' damping behavior through oil-based damping characteristics.

The set is used primarily to refine suspension response during setup and race prep. By switching to oil-damped short shocks you can influence rebound and compression feel, reduce high-frequency chassis movement, and create more consistent handling across typical on-road surfaces.

Installation follows standard shock replacement practice on the FAZER Mk2 FZ02: remove the existing short shocks, transfer springs and lower ball ends if applicable, and mount the oil shocks using the model's existing hardware. Check for correct travel and secure top and bottom mounting points; verify shock shafts move smoothly and seals are intact before final setup.

For tuning, the unit is intended to work with your existing spring rates and shock oils; changing oil viscosity and adjusting preload will alter damping and ride height. Use incremental changes when dialling in balance between front and rear to achieve the desired turn-in and mid-corner stability.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Lifespan depends on use and maintenance; with regular seal checks and occasional oil refresh they remain reliable for many events. Inspect shafts and seals after heavy running.
Keep the shock shafts clean, replace worn seals promptly, and avoid contamination when refilling oil to maintain consistent damping.
Yes, the shocks can be disassembled for seal replacement and oil changes; follow standard shock servicing practice to preserve damping consistency.
