The Kyosho H6034 serves as a purpose-built tail drive coupling for the Concept 60 helicopter tail driveline. It functions as the mechanical connection between the tail output shaft and the tail rotor drive, intended for replacement when wear is detected during routine inspections.

Fitting the coupling is manageable for those experienced with tail booms: remove the boom access panel, assess the existing coupling and mating shafts, then fit the replacement while ensuring correct alignment and fastener torque. Use the correct hex drivers and adhere to the helicopter manufacturer's torque recommendations to prevent over-tightening the link points.

As part of tuning and maintenance, this coupling supports accurate tail rotor drive alignment and helps limit play that may produce tail wobble. After installation, check tail pitch response and perform a ground rotor check to ensure there is no binding and that the tail reacts smoothly to stick inputs.

Look for lateral play at the joint, rough rotation when turning the tail by hand, or unusual tail behavior during ground checks as indicators of wear.
Often the original fasteners can be reused if undamaged; inspect threads and heads and replace any hardware that shows wear or corrosion.
After installation, confirm alignment visually, check torque on fasteners, hand-rotate the tail rotor for smoothness, and conduct a ground control response test.
