Precision shaft targeted at LAZER ZX tuning

The Kyosho LAW78B center shaft provides a 77.5mm length in 7075 aluminum as a direct replacement for LAZER ZX series models, offering increased stiffness over common alloys. Tuners select this alloy when they want crisper input and reduced center flex.

As a drivetrain component the shaft transmits center gear loads in on-road RC setups; moving to aluminum changes torsional characteristics and can sharpen throttle response, so include alignment and bearing checks as part of your installation routine. Use recommended RC greases on metal contact surfaces and verify spline engagement.

Before fitting, confirm LAZER ZX compatibility and remove the old shaft without disturbing nearby bearings. Tighten fasteners to the chassis manufacturer's guidance and re-evaluate drivetrain balance after the swap to fine tune handling.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Switching to a stiffer 7075 shaft can reduce drivetrain flex and deliver more consistent power transfer, which may help lap-to-lap consistency. Actual gains depend on the rest of your drivetrain and suspension setup.
Often only minor mesh or diff preload adjustments are needed after installing a stiffer center shaft. Recheck gear mesh and bearing play and make incremental tuning changes while monitoring noise and temperature.
Length should match the original specification for LAZER ZX variants that use LAW78B. Confirm measurements before installation to avoid altering driveline geometry or introducing undue bearing loads.
Choose an RC-grade light grease or low-viscosity oil compatible with metal-to-metal contact to reduce friction while protecting splines. Avoid heavy pastes that can mask alignment issues.
