Function and fit details

The Kyosho LA426 Motor Mount Set is an RC motor mounting component purpose-built for the LAZER ZX7.5 chassis. It defines where the motor sits in the chassis and establishes the gear mesh relationship without modifying other drivetrain elements.

Role summary: preserve consistent motor alignment, enable repeatable gear mesh adjustments, and offer a steady platform for regular setup and servicing. Focus here is on fit and operational role rather than material specifics.

Installation and setup notes

  • Remove the existing mount and confirm there is adequate endbell clearance before installing the LA426.
  • Align the motor so the pinion meshes with the spur with minimal lateral movement, then tighten the mounting screws evenly to prevent plate distortion.
  • Apply recommended torque values to the hex screws to avoid stripping and reassess gear mesh after initial runs.
  • Route motor leads and the ESC away from the mount to prevent contact and to keep airflow for cooling.

The LA426 is used as part of chassis servicing and tuning procedures; small adjustments to setback or tilt will influence gear wear and noise. Make small changes and test on the bench before running hard on the track.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The LA426 is specified for the LAZER ZX7.5. Other Kyosho models may have different mounting points; check dimensions and screw patterns before attempting interchange.
Set the motor for minimal lateral play while keeping a small clearance between pinion and spur teeth. Tighten screws a little at a time and spin the drivetrain to confirm smooth engagement.
The mount fixes motor position, which can alter setback or tilt if a different plate is used. Those changes affect wear and noise, so use the mount to refine engagement rather than to alter gear ratios.
