Can I run this underguard with aftermarket skid plates?

You can combine it with some aftermarket plates if mounting points do not clash, but check clearances and bolt patterns before fitting to avoid interference.

Will the finish scratch easily in heavy use?

The gunmetal finish is durable but will show wear under constant scraping; the aluminium base keeps protecting the gear area even if the surface shows marks.

Is any trimming of the chassis needed to fit?

For standard MAD Series and FO-XX layouts no trimming is normally required. Inspect mounts during trial fitting to confirm alignment.
