Upgrade MINI-Z AWD rear feel with Kyosho MDW004

For precise setup changes on MINI-Z AWD cars, the Kyosho MDW004 Suspension Spring Set supplies three hardness choices to fine tune rear behaviour. It is a compact, practical kit for racers and track-day hobbyists wanting clear setup steps.

Flexible spring choices

The triple-rate selection covers softer springs for more mechanical grip, medium for balanced control, and hard for sharper response under acceleration. Use the rates to dial in understeer or oversteer tendencies on different surfaces.

Made to suit MA-020S rear assemblies

These springs are produced to match the rear components of the MA-020S chassis, ensuring correct seating and consistent travel. That reliable fit makes testing different rates straightforward.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are cut for the MA-020S rear geometry. Front use may require different spring length or retainer style, so measure and compare before swapping positions.
Carpet tracks often benefit from softer springs to increase tyre contact; try the soft springs first and adjust to reduce body roll if needed.
Spring rate influences sag under load but ride height also depends on shock length and preload. Keep preload consistent when comparing rates to see true handling changes.
Change only one variable at a time, note lap times or feel, and make small adjustments. That helps identify what each spring rate is doing to balance and traction.
