This 12T Delrin motor gear is intended as an aftermarket replacement for Kyosho Mini Inferno vehicles, supplied in the DMIF012T specification. It acts as the motor pinion which meshes with the spur to determine the vehicle final drive ratio on 1/10 electric rigs.
Delrin (acetal) is selected for its low friction and quieter mesh versus metal counterparts, making it useful when you want to reduce drivetrain noise and smooth engagement. A smaller 12-tooth pinion reduces overall gearing versus higher tooth counts, giving snappier acceleration at the cost of some top speed, ideal for tight circuits.
Installation follows the typical motor-swap process: remove the motor, fit the pinion to the motor shaft, set correct mesh with the spur, and secure the set screw. Always verify rotation direction and check clearance before running at race power to protect the pinion and spur from accelerated wear.
