This aluminium pinion pack is intended for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD models and contains the most used tooth counts for Mini-Z AWD motor assemblies. The set gives four options—15T, 17T, 19T and 21T—to let you tune final drive ratio without swapping the spur or motor.
Construction and role: manufactured from lightweight aluminium alloy, these pinions offer a balance of wear resistance and reduced rotating mass suited to small-scale drivetrains. They serve both as replacements for worn pinions and as tuning parts to alter acceleration and top speed characteristics.
Installation tips: remove the motor from its mount, loosen the pinion grub screw or retaining hardware, fit the chosen pinion and verify proper mesh with the spur gear, then secure and check for endplay. Use small hex drivers, apply cautious torque, and rotate slowly to make sure the gear runs true.
Tuning notes: choose a lower tooth count like 15T for higher top speed with less acceleration, or a higher count such as 21T for stronger acceleration and better low-speed response; match selection to track demands and motor gearing strategy.
