The KM048 alloy steering housing is supplied as a single-piece replacement for Kyosho motor cycle models, arriving with the necessary mounting screws while the 8x12 ball bearing is excluded from the set.
Manufactured from machined aluminium, the housing replaces weaker plastic parts to stiffen the interface between steering linkages and the front assembly, leaving servos, ESCs and motors unchanged.
Fitting tips: this unit accepts an 8x12 ball bearing (not included). Remove the original housing using basic hand tools, check that the bearing seat is square, then fasten the alloy housing with the supplied screws. After fitting, check steering throw and endplay and trim linkage lengths slightly if required for straight steering.
Tuning note: installing this alloy housing reduces chassis flex at the front for a sharper steering response when fine-tuning toe, caster or steering damping; it is intended to complement suspension and linkage adjustments.
