The Kyosho MZW405 gyro module is tailored for MR-03 Mini-Z hobbyists seeking steadier handling. Designed to slip into the MR-03 chassis, it provides automatic steering and throttle adjustments to reduce unwanted yaw on smooth floors or polished surfaces. The unit reacts faster than manual inputs to keep the car following your chosen trajectory.
Once active, the MZW405 detects lateral or rotational imbalance and applies corrective steering to stabilise the car. This reduces oversteer episodes and helps the chassis hold its line during quick direction changes, making it useful for race nights and club practice.
For reliable calibration, switch the chassis on while the car is level and still so the gyro can set its zero position. You may notice small automatic steering movements when the gyro engages; this is part of normal operation and not a fault.
Experienced users can refine the gyros behaviour by connecting to a computer with the No.82080 I.C.S. USB Adaptor Set. This lets you tweak sensitivity and response to suit different circuit conditions or personal handling preferences.
