This clutch bell is engineered to sit precisely with the VZW442-04TG Clutch Shoe, promoting efficient power transfer and reducing uneven wear. Many users pair it with the OS12TG engine as part of a balanced running package.

Why Aluminium Works Well

Aluminium reduces rotating mass while maintaining strength, which can sharpen throttle response and lower temperature rise at the clutch. Those traits make the VZW448 a practical upgrade for track-focused RC drivers.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Properly fitted, the VZW448 keeps engagement consistent and can reduce slipping from heat soak. Set shoe clearance as you would with the original bell to maintain expected engagement points.
Monitor clutch temperature in early runs and adjust shoe material or tuning as needed. The aluminium bell tolerates heat well, but shoe selection still influences performance.
No special hardware is usually needed; use the same mounting method as the original bell. Ensure bolts are torqued correctly and spline alignment is checked before running.
Light surface cleaning or polishing can remove burrs, but avoid aggressive material removal that changes internal diameter or fit with the shoe.
