The M3x14 screw is an RC engine mounting fastener designed to hold small model engines firmly to their mounting plates. Sold individually, it fits locations that call for an M3 threaded fastening in engine mounts used on nitro or small gasoline models.
When fitting the screw, check that threads engage fully and that the length does not interfere with internal components. Select the correct driver to prevent head damage and tighten with controlled force to avoid stripping threads or distorting the mount. A removable threadlocker may be used for extra security, and fasteners should be checked again after running the model.
Regular inspection helps avoid failures: look for thread damage or corrosion, replace any compromised screw, and confirm mounting faces are flat to keep the engine aligned and running predictably.
