This reissue 1/20 scale plastic kit captures the profile and structure of the McLaren M23 from 1976, emphasising the chassis architecture and engine presentation for hobby assembly.
Introduced in 1973 as the successor to the M19, the M23 stayed competitive until 1976 before being replaced by the M26 in 1977. The model played a part in McLaren's 1974 Constructors success and helped deliver Drivers titles in 1974 and 1976. Drivers associated with the car include James Hunt, Emerson Fittipaldi and Mike Hailwood, the latter securing a podium in 1974.
The kit models the M23's external lines and monocoque-style structure plus a scale representation of the Ford-Cosworth DFV V8. Panels at the front and on top are removable after construction to expose the engine bay and cockpit for viewing. The release is supplied with Cartograf decals, tyres, metal transfers and a skirt sheet to match the era. It follows conventional plastic kit assembly for those wanting a display-ready result with engine-bay access.
A faithful reissue focused on external accuracy and accessible engine-bay detail for display-minded builders and collectors.
