The GPM MG524T/0.5M pinion is a 24-tooth gear manufactured from 45 steel, rated at 48 pitch with a 0.5mm module and a 5mm motor tooth diameter. It serves as an aftermarket component for electric RC drivetrains and is not designed for non-RC full-scale applications.

Compatibility is driven by shaft size and tooth pitch; this pinion suits motors that accept a 5mm motor tooth diameter and use 48 pitch gearing. Before fitting, check shaft dimensions, keyway or spline compatibility, and housing clearance to prevent binding or poor mesh with the spur gear.

Installation guidance: slide the pinion onto the motor shaft and secure using the motor's set screw or retaining system. Use a paper or feeler method to set the mesh, adjust motor plate spacing or shims to obtain the correct backlash, and re-check fasteners after a short run-in period.
