This aftermarket heatsink is built to sit over the Kyosho Mini Inferno speed control housing and improve heat rejection from the ESC. The purple SSG coating marks the MIF-020/PU/SG option so it is easy to identify in your parts box.
Functionally it increases exposed metal area around the speed control to lower peak temperatures under load. By reducing thermal buildup the heatsink helps the ESC maintain consistent behaviour during repeated high-power runs.
When fitting, focus on correct alignment and avoiding contact points. Ensure the heatsink does not impinge on gears, motor cables, or chassis brackets, and that original mounting points are still usable with the stock screws. Test fit with the body in place to confirm there is no rubbing on mounts or links.
Note that this is a passive cooling accessory, not an electronic modification. Use it as part of an overall thermal-management plan while keeping ESC settings and motor selection appropriate for your application.
