What the pivot pin does

This pivot pin is an RC-scale spare made to replace the original on the Serpent Mini Spyder Monster truck RTR EP (SER440001). It provides the central pivot in steering and suspension links so articulation is renewed where wear has introduced slop.

Replacement is a simple workshop job for anyone comfortable with basic disassembly: take off the wheel and hub to access the control arm, inspect neighbouring bearings and link fasteners for wear, swap in the new pin, and check for smooth, binding-free movement. Use the chassis' original retainers and screws during reassembly.

From a tuning perspective, a sound pivot pin preserves steering geometry and cuts out excess movement that harms handling. Renewing a worn pin is a routine field repair that improves steering feedback and consistency on track.
