The MZJ338 is a 38mm shock made from 6061-T6 aluminium for KYOSHO 1/18 MINI-Z 4X4 models. It is intended for either front or rear mounting on MINI-Z 4X4 Suzuki Jimny variants to help damp suspension movement and improve chassis balance while driving.

Preload is altered using the upper spring retainer, which adjusts the spring seat and overall damper response. A silver spring matching the original MINI-Z wire diameter is included, along with a spare black spring for tuning or replacement. These changes affect spring rate feel without changing suspension geometry.

Fitting is standard for MINI-Z shocks: remove the factory damper, attach ball ends and mounts at the same points, and set preload with the top retainer. Remember this is an aftermarket hop-up for hobby use, not a part for real vehicles.
