The AWD-13 high shim is crafted as a dedicated spacer for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD cars to alter the vertical relation between drivetrain components and the chassis. Its purpose is to improve alignment and reduce binding where small height differences affect gear mesh or shaft angle.
To install, locate the interface between the drivetrain stack or differential housing and the chassis mounting points and insert the shim to increase clearance. Loosen fasteners first, place the shim cleanly on the seating area, confirm alignment, then tighten hardware to the correct torque and check driveline rotation for any binding.
Setup guidance: use this thin high shim to correct minor misalignment, prevent rubbing, and experiment with driveline geometry during setup. On smooth, high-grip tracks small thickness variations can change drive characteristics.
