Carbon Rear Pod Plates — Details

This Kyosho MZW403B carbon rear suspension plate set is an MR-04–compatible Mini‑Z scale accessory engineered to permit adjustments to rear control traits and chassis roll without modifying suspension geometry. The plates are manufactured from carbon fiber and are supplied in three hardness grades to tune rear response and balance.

The product is intended for the Mini-Z MR-04 platform and installs in place of the OEM rear plate, altering how lateral forces move through the chassis. Depending on chosen plate hardness, expect variations in lateral roll and transient behaviour that let you dial between steadier understeer and livelier rotation at the tail.

Installation is achieved by disassembling the rear pod area using standard Mini‑Z tools; no extra components are included. Combine these plates with spring and damper tuning plus weight distribution changes for refined performance on indoor tracks or compact outdoor layouts.

The carbon fiber construction offers increased rigidity and can resist deformation better than many plastics, but like all carbon parts they should be inspected for cracks after impacts.
No. The plates are designed to replace the stock rear plate without altering suspension geometry; changes come from stiffness and how the chassis flexes under load.
They are suitable for indoor circuits and small‑scale outdoor use, but as lightweight tuning parts they perform best in cleaner, low-debris environments.
Regularly inspect for hairline cracks, avoid overtightening fasteners, and replace if any damage is visible to maintain predictable handling.
