Bi-metal Dogbones for MIP Pucks

The Yokomo Z2-18841 is supplied as two sets of bi-metal universal dogbones specifically produced for the MIP Pucks drive system used on YZ-2 Stock ver. chassis. These replacements are intended to provide improved wear characteristics while preserving the original driveline fitment and alignment.

Design and compatibility are focused: the dogbones interface directly with MIP Pucks couplers and the stock differential outputs on supported YZ-2 Stock variants. Replacement requires basic disassembly of the center drives and careful verification of puck alignment; no extra adapters are documented as necessary. Inspect pucks and retaining hardware during service to avoid uneven wear on the bi-metal surfaces.

Viewed as maintenance components, the Z2-18841 pieces support routine upkeep rather than radical tuning changes. Monitor the joint and contact areas under race or practice loads and replace the dogbones when wear or play becomes evident to protect the MIP Pucks and differential internals.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Regularly clean debris from joints, inspect mating faces for scoring, and ensure the pucks remain square to the dogbone ends; timely replacement prevents secondary wear to the pucks and diff output.
The bi-metal build aims to balance surface wear resistance with a serviceable joint life. Expect better abrasion resistance than plain metals, but still monitor for fatigue and contact wear under heavy use.
Replace the dogbones if you observe visible scoring, increased play at the joint, or uneven contact marks that can accelerate damage to the MIP Pucks.
They are serviceable under high-traction conditions, but such tracks increase wear rates; inspect parts frequently and plan replacements as part of regular maintenance.
