Strengthening the MP10 Chassis

The Kyosho IF618B Chassis Brace Set is an aftermarket reinforcement made to fit the MP10 chassis family. It targets central stiffness so you can adjust chassis flex characteristics without swapping major suspension pieces.

This brace is compatible only with MP10 variants, so confirm your chassis mounts match MP10 patterns prior to installation. It secures using the original factory mounting points and should not require cutting in standard MP10 configurations.

To install, remove the body shell and any existing top plate, line the brace up with the factory holes, then fasten with the chassis hardware retained from the stock layout. Tighten progressively and inspect drivetrain and suspension clearance after first use. Check fasteners again after the initial runs.

As a tuning accessory, the brace reduces chassis twist and alters weight transfer behaviour. It is useful for drivers aiming for cleaner turn-in and firmer rear grip on grippy surfaces, while removing it can restore more compliance and steering on low-traction circuits.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The brace redistributes loads and reduces local flex, which can lower stress on certain chassis areas; regular inspection is still advised to spot fatigue early.
No special post-fit treatment is required, but check contact points for dirt and corrosion periodically and clean as part of routine maintenance.
The brace is intended to stiffen the chassis under normal racing loads; it is not a substitute for repairing damaged chassis after heavy impacts.
After the first sessions, confirm fastener torque and inspect clearances around drivetrain and suspension regularly to catch any loosening.
