Graphite Mixed Resin Transmission Case Details

The YOKSD302G transmission gear case is offered as an SD-series replacement molded from a graphite blended resin to offer lower weight with improved structural stiffness for RC touring car gearboxes.

The package supplies the main case, the cap, and the necessary screws so the unit can replace degraded housings on MR-4TCSD transmissions without altering the chassis. The graphite mixed resin construction reduces mass while retaining stiffness in bearing seats and the gearbox mounting interface.

During installation, verify that input and output shafts are aligned and that bearings are properly seated prior to final tightening; use the supplied screws and follow a conservative torque practice to avoid deforming the resin. This component is intended for scale RC models only.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The material is formulated to trade some mass for added stiffness compared to standard plastics; it performs well for normal touring car use but still benefits from careful installation and routine inspection.
Graphite mixed resin improves rigidity but is not indestructible; avoid high-energy impacts and inspect the case after hard contacts to detect any hairline damage early.
With correct assembly and routine maintenance, the case should provide reliable service. Monitor bearing seats and screw torque periodically to maintain fitment integrity.
The design preserves stiffness where bearings seat and where the gearbox mounts, but ensure bearings are seated squarely during installation to avoid premature wear.
