Durable hard-coated aluminium suspension balls

This set is built to refine suspension feedback on MS-series models. A hard-coat finish on both balls and holders increases wear resistance and helps the joints maintain smooth motion after many cycles.

The components are manufactured with a marginally larger ball diameter compared to standard fittings, enabling finer control of play and clearance. That dimension helps when dialing small gaps between ball and socket during setup work.

Fitting is straightforward: swap out the original ball and holder assembly, set the clearance with the suspension at neutral ride height, then secure with the nut. The included 8.0mm wrench allows careful, stepwise tightening to preserve the hard-coated surface.

When tuning, these hard-coated aluminium balls help lower minor friction fluctuations across the linkage path, supporting chassis setups that require repeatable rebound and compression. Use them for consistent geometry during iterative adjustments or practise laps.

Pack contents

  • Ball, holder, nut, dedicated 8.0mm wrench

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The hard-coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, which reduces degradation from constant articulation compared with untreated aluminium.
The hard-coat adds a protective layer, but routine cleaning and drying after wet use will help prevent corrosion over time.
With normal race use the coating greatly extends service life; however, extreme abrasion over long periods can still reduce the finish, so inspect periodically.
Light lubrication is acceptable, but avoid aggressive solvents or abrasive greases that might damage the hard-coated surface.
