Machined spring retainers for MRX5

This set supplies four machined shock spring supports made as direct replacements for Mugen MRX5 shock assemblies. Fabricated from 7075-T6 aluminium, the retainers are CNC milled to remove excess material while retaining key load-bearing sections, lowering rotating and reciprocating mass without affecting fit.

They act as the lower seat for coil springs on MRX5 shocks, holding springs squarely and providing a consistent datum for preload and ride-height tuning. The aim of the design is stable, concentric contact rather than visual modification.

Installation is straightforward: remove the original MRX5 spring support and fit the Arrowmax part in the same orientation. No body modifications are required and standard shock tools are all that is needed for assembly.

In practical setup work these retainers help keep spring position constant between runs, which improves repeatability when tweaking preload or swapping springs during testing sessions.
