This O.S. Engine air funnel is an RC-scale intake accessory designed to fit inline with nitro engine carburettor inlets and help manage airflow into the engine. It is intended for model use only and described here in technical terms relevant to hobby workshop tuning.
Fitting is simple: align the funnel with the carburettor inlet and secure it at the clamp points or against the manifold seating. Ensure a tight seal to prevent unmetered air and check that the funnel does not contact nearby components. Use basic hand tools and avoid overtightening screws.
From a tuning perspective, the funnel reshapes intake flow and can refine throttle transitions. By reducing inlet turbulence it aids in achieving smoother needle settings across idle, mid-range and top-end. Inspect for dents or blockage as part of routine maintenance.
