Upgrade piston for off-road shock units

This Yokomo YS-8-142 F. Shock Piston serves as an RC-scale replacement piston for off-road shock units. It changes internal flow characteristics inside the damper so you can sharpen rebound and compression without swapping other hardware.

Installation follows the usual threaded shock procedure: remove the spring and shaft, swap the piston, and reassemble with the seals and shock oil you already use. Since tiny differences in piston diameter or hole configuration affect oil flow, treat this item as a tuning component for mid and low speed damping rather than a blanket performance fix.

When tuning, make incremental adjustments: change one variable at a time, run the same surface for comparisons, record handling changes, and only then experiment with alternate oil weights or spring rates. That way your setup changes remain consistent.
