Carburettor needle for 21M and 21XM setups

This replacement needle from O.S. Engine fits 21M and 21XM series RC engine carburettors and controls fuel feed through the needle valve to allow finer mixture adjustments for different operating conditions on nitro models.

The design uses a stainless steel tip to resist seat wear, while the shaft and taper are produced to mirror factory fit and dimensions for the compatible carburettors. To install, remove the carburettor top and swap the needle; then perform careful on-track tuning with small changes to idle and main mixture to reach the desired behaviour.

Install this item when you require a direct swap or when tuning shows the needle is degraded and affecting mixture stability. This product description is limited to RC applications and excludes full-size engine use.

Will this needle change how the engine idles compared to stock?

A freshly fitted needle with correct seating can restore a stable idle; any changes are managed by small adjustments to the idle screw and main mixture after installation.

Is the stainless tip corrosion resistant or only wear resistant?

The stainless tip provides wear resistance at the contact point and improves longevity; while resistant to corrosion, standard maintenance and fuel cleanliness still apply.

Do I need special tools to fit this needle?

No special tools are required; basic removal of the carburettor top and careful handling to avoid bending the needle are all that is needed. Final tuning should be done by feel and temperature checks.
