This O.S. Engine crankshaft ball bearing is offered as a service part for FS-62V engine crankshafts. It provides radial support to the crank, helping to keep the shaft aligned and reducing internal friction during running.
When fitting into FS-62V crank housings, ensure the inner bore and outer diameter of the bearing match the crankcase locations to guarantee proper fit and preload. Correct dimension checks prevent misalignment and premature wear.
For installation, clean the seating surfaces thoroughly, remove old lubricants and debris, and press the bearing straight in using a tool that contacts only the outer race. Do not hammer on the inner race. Apply a light, engine-appropriate lubricant for initial break-in and avoid excessive crankcase fill.
Maintenance note: renewing a worn crankshaft bearing can improve crank smoothness, reduce axial play, and help restore stable idle and throttle response. Inspect bearings during rebuilds and replace if you detect roughness, play, or rust.
