Italeri 96460 Pak 97/38 1/35 - kit notes for the modeller

This 1/35 injection-moulded kit reproduces the Pak 97/38 towed anti-tank gun and includes crew figures, released by Italeri as part of their military modeller range for display-orientated builds.

The Pak 97/38 combined captured French 75 mm mle 1897 barrels with German carriage modifications from about 1941, using a muzzle brake and revised mounting to handle updated anti-armor ammunition. It served where lighter, more mobile anti-tank capability was required during equipment shortages on various fronts.

The kit concentrates on external accuracy and period fittings, with parts arranged for conventional assembly and distinct components for the carriage, barrel, shield and crew. The included figures represent standard crew tasks like aiming and handling shells. Careful painting and small aftermarket touches will enhance realism at this scale.

A historically based 1/35 representation of the Pak 97/38, well suited to modellers wanting a crewed towed-gun subject for display or small diorama work.

Surfaces include moulded detail and fittings aimed at realistic appearance; fine detailing can be enhanced with light sanding and aftermarket parts.
Yes, the supplied crew figures are sculpted to be consistent with 1/35 scale and intended to complement the gun in posed displays.
Standard plastic cement is recommended for most joins; superglue can be used for small detail parts or quick fixes.
Parts are unpainted; you will need paints and brushes or an airbrush to finish the model to display standard.
Some minor cutting and repositioning can alter figure poses; modellers often adjust limbs or heads for custom scenes.
