S30 Heritage Recreated for Drift Enthusiasts

The Tamiya 57808 RC RTR Datsun 240Z - TT-01ED Drift Spec captures the classic Fairlady Z lines in a 1/10 scale package. The supplied painted polycarbonate body mirrors the original car's profile while arriving ready to run for immediate track or practice sessions.

Purpose-Built TT-01ED Chassis for Smooth Slides

This drift-spec TT-01ED chassis combines a fiberglass reinforced nylon upper deck with sturdy gear covers to keep the drivetrain stable during long runs. Standard 24mm drift tyres on metal-plated mesh wheels suit slide work, and the 4-wheel double wishbone setup with CVA Shock Unit Super Mini dampers gives plenty of scope for corner and drift tuning.

Components That Support Tuning and Reliability

The kit includes a sport-tuned RS540 motor and ball bearings to improve drivetrain efficiency. An aluminium motor heatsink is included to help manage heat, and the longitudinal motor layout powering a shaft-driven full-time 4WD gives predictable responses for throttle and steering adjustments.

Tamiya 57808 RC RTR Datsun 240Z - TT-01ED Drift Spec blends authentic styling with a tunable platform, suitable for hobbyists who enjoy setup and on-surface experimentation.

Yes, the model arrives RTR with the body fitted, motor and ESC installed, but you will need the required transmitter batteries and a drive battery to get rolling.
Drivers often fit a higher torque motor, match softer tyres for slides, and experiment with damper settings to tune balance and steer response.
The transmitter takes 8xR6/AA/UM3 cells. The main drive battery is not included and should match the ESC and battery tray specifications.
Routine checks on gear mesh, bearings and suspension mounts are straightforward and keep the chassis performing reliably between sessions.
