This graphite rear shock tower with built-in body post is intended for the Team Associated RC18T chassis and carries the RC18-006A part reference. It swaps in for the OEM tower to offer a stiffer top mount for the rear shocks while keeping the original mounting geometry intact.

By stiffening the load path at the rear bulkhead, the part reduces unwanted flex under lateral loads and braking, allowing more predictable rear response. This is useful when experimenting with different shock oils, springs or anti-roll bar settings.

Installation follows normal service steps: remove the stock rear tower, transfer any necessary hardware and shock top pieces, install the graphite tower on the existing screw bosses, then check ride height and shock preload. Standard RC18T kits require no extra machining.

When assessing handling changes, make incremental adjustments to spring rates, shock oil and sway bar setup to understand the tower effects. Inspect fastener torque and thread condition after first track sessions to ensure reliability.
