High-strength graphite tower for RO2.0 demands

The Yokomo RO-018RDG serves as a rear shock tower and rear upper mount tailored to RC RO2.0 designs where load paths are critical. High-strength, graphite-containing resin is used on the load-bearing areas between the shock mounts and the upper arm mount to increase stiffness where forces travel through the chassis.

In practical terms the RO-018RDG helps limit rear-end flex at the shock attachment area, which can aid traction during acceleration and sudden weight transfer. The part is made for hobby use with RO2.0 platforms and matching ROR-020 configurations.

Fitting the unit is a familiar process for anyone who has replaced a shock tower: remove the original tower, move over shocks and any hardware, and secure the RO-018RDG using the existing mounting points. No special fittings are required, though inspect thread condition and torque during reassembly.

Because the tower is stiffer, small-input suspension behavior and roll-center characteristics will shift; plan to tweak shock valving, spring rates, or anti-roll settings after installation to dial in the balance you want.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The graphite-containing resin focuses strength at load paths to resist flex; it improves stiffness at mounting points but, like any composite, may still be affected by severe impacts—inspect after hard crashes.
The reinforced molding increases resistance to deformation at the shock mounts, though extreme impacts can damage any tower. Regular inspection and replacement after heavy impacts is recommended.
The graphite-containing resin reduces flex-related wear where the suspension transmits force, which can lower load cycles on adjacent parts, but routine checks of fasteners and mount points remain important.
