This RP-085425A shock oil is blended for model use to let you dial in damper behaviour across different track conditions. With a #42.5 viscosity, the oil sits in the middle of the range to help balance traction and composure during landing transitions.

Think of oil grade as part of a setup trio with springs and pistons. Use the recommended fill method for your shocks to avoid air inclusion, and change oil when you want a different transient response rather than adjusting static ride height first.

How should I match this oil to different track grip levels?

On higher grip surfaces you may prefer slightly lighter damping for better compliance; on low grip, the #42.5 provides enough control to keep the chassis settled. Use small incremental changes to judge effect.

Is the oil suitable for both touring and drift cars listed above?

What basic bleeding routine should I follow after filling?
