Heavy-duty aluminum caster block for BD9 chassis

This aluminum lower caster block is an RC-scale replacement part intended for Yokomo BD9 2019 platforms and is built to serve as the rear mounting base for an RCT steering assembly. It provides a stronger interface between the steering block and the suspension arm.

Designed to substitute the stock plastic lower caster, the metal construction reduces flex and wear during demanding use. That improved stiffness helps maintain caster and toe geometry when rear steering components are fitted or adjusted repeatedly.

Fitting is simple: remove the original lower caster from the suspension arm, position the aluminum block and secure it using the chassis fasteners. Inspect hardware condition and alignment after the initial outings to ensure long-term stability.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Aluminum resists deformation and abrasion better than molded plastic, so the mounting surfaces retain their shape after repeated impacts and clamping. This reduces the need for frequent replacement and helps preserve geometry.
Standard hobby-grade aluminum is resistant to rust but can show surface oxidation; periodic cleaning and a light protective treatment will keep the finish and function in good condition.
By stiffening the mounting point, adjacent plastic parts may see different load paths; monitor pivot points and replace worn pieces as needed to maintain precise steering geometry.
Regular inspection for loose fasteners, cleaning to remove grit, and checking for signs of fretting will extend the service life of the aluminum caster block and the surrounding components.
