High-Strength 7075 Front Steering for XO-1

This aftermarket front steering assembly has been developed for the TRAXXAS XO-1 range under part number XO048N from GPM. Machined in 7075 aluminium and fitted with four 5x8x2.5 precision bearings, it serves as a robust replacement to improve steering feel and reduce play.

It locates in the front steering area and is used to adjust steering characteristics and minimise unwanted movement in the steering geometry. Installation notes focus on fitment checks and confirming steering free-play after assembly.

Will this require servo changes?

Most stock servos will work, but confirm horn clearance and travel; the alloy assembly tightens steering play so you may prefer a higher torque servo for aggressive setups.

How do I check steering free-play after fitting?

With the vehicle on stands, operate the servo and manually move the steering to check for lateral movement at the wheel hubs; tighten fasteners if there is excess play.
