The Futaba S9602 is a micro-size, high-speed servo made for radio-controlled aircraft where rapid response is important. It arrives fitted with a J-style lead for easy hookup to typical receiver sockets.
Mechanically the unit pairs a coreless motor with metal geartrain and dual ball bearings on the output shaft, delivering crisper centring and better repeatability than economy plastic-gear servos. The black plastic case offers water resistance but is not sealed against immersion.
Expect notable current draw during heavy-duty, continuous manoeuvres. When powering the S9602 from NiMH or LiPo packs, verify the pack and any BEC/regulator can sustain current peaks without dropping voltage under load.
Use standard micro servo mounting points for installation. The included accessory pack provides vibration grommets, brass bushings, mounting screws and a selection of horns to match common patterns. When setting throws for sailplanes and gliders, adjust incrementally and confirm neutral and end points on the bench before flight.
Spare parts are published as case FUTM3065 and separate mounting hardware as FUTM2350; always bench test the fit and operation before flying.
