Replacement Delrin Spur for Savage 21

This Delrin main spur is an aftermarket replacement for Savage 21 scale trucks. The polymer construction gives a wear-resistant interface for the motor pinion and gearbox while matching the 52T tooth count referenced by DSAV1052T.

Installation follows standard Savage 21 procedures: remove the gearbox lid, preserve the original spacers and bearings, fit the spur onto the main shaft and check axial position and backlash against the motor pinion. Confirm mesh at low throttle and rotate the driveline by hand before refitting the lid. Always disconnect power sources and handle batteries safely when servicing the drivetrain.

In tuning scenarios the Delrin spur provides a cost-effective sacrificial surface useful for experimenting with gear ratios or frequent spur swaps, reducing metal contact and easing maintenance. Sold as a single unit and designed for use on Savage 21 compatible platforms only.

Does this require any gearbox modification?
