Install the GPM SCX1660TS gearbox belt drive on an AXIAL SCX10 III Jeep JT Gladiator to gain the strength of 6061-T6 aluminium paired with durable rubber parts. This combination improves shock tolerance and helps reduce unwanted gearbox sound for a calmer driving experience.

Drive Benefits and Compatibility Notes

The belt drive design in the GPM SCX1660TS reduces gearbox noise and lessens shaft kickback when compared with conventional metal gear setups. Note that belt systems usually transmit less maximum power than direct gear drives. Verify motor shaft diameter before fitting; a 3.175mm shaft is required for correct installation.

Basic Installation Procedure

Place the original gearbox metal plate back into its mounting. Insert the chosen friction disc into the pulley groove and press the bearing into place. Refit the original metal plate, secure the anti-skid spring and nut. Bring the pulleys close, loop the belt over both gears and then adjust spacing to set even belt tension.
