The Serpent SRX8GT R takes the SRX8GT '23 concept and sharpens it for quicker lap times. Input from Andrea and Roberto Catanzani drove revisions across suspension and transmission areas, improving the car's adjustability while keeping proven GT '23 fundamentals intact.
Key to the package is the in-line drivetrain which optimises power delivery. To fit this layout the chassis was redesigned as a 4mm composite plate, delivering usable flex without side dams. An optional 3mm chassis is offered for crews needing an alternate flex character.
Suspension geometry has been reworked with a narrower track and modified roll centre interactions to aid rotation and mid-corner grip. New mounting brackets broaden setup possibilities, letting tuners tweak parameters like inboard toe and anti-squat to dial in balance.
The 2-speed shaft now accepts weighted shoes for improved shift timing and steady engagement, with extra clips added to limit gearbox lock-ups. Bulkheads are produced from carbon-filled ultra-stiff composite, while aluminium options are available for different stiffness tuning.
With its combination of drivetrain efficiency and broad setup range, the Serpent SRX8GT R appeals to tuners and club racers who want a platform that adapts to different track surfaces.
