The Serpent 903360 2-Speed Gearbox SL8 Upgrade Kit upgrades Serpent 966 models with a lightweight, durable gearbox engineered for consistent lap times and reliable shifting.

Reduced Rotating Mass, Cleaner Shifts

The upgrade features a superlight 2-speed assembly that lowers inertia to enhance acceleration and throttle response while keeping gear changes smooth. It uses an 8mm solid spring-steel shaft with a one-way bearing that runs directly on the shaft to reduce drag. The included aluminium bell has extra reinforcement to handle race loads.

Components Focused on Track Use

• Aluminum Brake-Pulley Adaptor: Built with three steel locating pins and comes with the replacement brake disk in the kit.
• Delrin Bushings: Host 8x14x4mm bearings to firm up the 2-speed bracket positioning.
• Spring-Steel Adaptor: A compact, lighter adaptor that trims weight and improves efficiency.
• Aluminum Flange: Contains a German-made one-way bearing to help balance and save weight.
• Optimized Gears: New gear profiles are lighter and tougher, improving mesh; supplied in 48/49 and 50T choices.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with V2 style rear 2-speed shaft brackets used on the 966 and EVO. The upgrade accepts current clutches and pinions so you can retrofit without major changes.
