The Serpent SER903709 DTS system set is built to refine handling on the Viper 988 1/8 GP. It lets you control front-end grip by changing the load on the inside front wheel based on steering angle and the chosen excentre.
Increasing load on the inside front wheel is a common way to improve corner entry. Traditional options like altering roll stiffness, springs or caster can affect overall weight distribution and tyre contact. The DTS targets the issue via steering lock and excentre tuning for a more precise result.
The system uses swap-in excentres to vary the extra wheel load so you can optimise tyre contact with your preferred caster settings. Excentre changes are straightforward, letting you experiment between runs.
Setting the DTS with as little play as possible while preserving side-to-side freedom keeps handling consistent during long runs. Small preload and clearance checks go a long way to stable lap times.
