Micro shim for tuning and mesh adjustment

This shim is sized 3.1 x 5 x 0.05mm as noted in the product name and functions as a precision spacer for small clearance corrections in model builds. It is ideal when tiny, consistent thickness steps are needed to tweak bearing preload, improve gear mesh alignment, or trim shaft endplay without reworking parts.

To install, place the shim where required on the shaft or mating surface prior to assembling the next part, confirm overall stack thickness with a caliper or feeler gauge if possible, then tighten the fasteners carefully to avoid overcompressing the shim. You can stack shims to reach intermediate values; always keep surfaces free of grit to avoid false readings.

As a standard accessory, the shim fits a variety of R/C locations including axle points, gearbox stacks, servo horn interfaces, and bearing endplay spots. Treat it as a delicate component during handling and storage to prevent bending or loss.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Adding a 0.05mm shim can close or open the gear mesh slightly; use successive shims to fine-tune engagement until noise and wear are minimised.
Start with a single shim, test the fit, then add one shim at a time, checking performance after each change to avoid overshooting the target clearance.
It is intended for fine spacing and alignment; avoid using it as a primary load-bearing element and verify fitment in high-load areas before committing to long runs.
