Widened rear CVD assembly

Specifically made for the Traxxas Slash 4x4 range, this rear drive kit combines hardened steel shafts with 6061 T6 aluminium knuckle arms to balance durability and lightweight performance for rough terrain. The thicker axle section is aimed at handling the shocks from frequent jumping and heavy trail use.

Precision bearings ensure smooth axle spin and the included spring steel hex keeps the hub firmly secured under torque. The design focuses on reinforcing the rear end without requiring a complete driveline redesign.

Fitment notes: parts are manufactured to replace the stock rear CVD and knuckle assembly on the listed Slash variants. Verify existing hardware condition and test fit on the rear hub before extended running. Intended for RC-scale model use only.

What items are supplied with the kit

The kit ships with rear CVDs, aluminium knuckle arms, spring steel hexes, 6x13x5 bearings, M4x2.5x11 screw pins and the set screws included in the original package.

Can the parts handle heavy bashing

The hardened steel axle and thicker diameter improve resistance to bending, while aluminium knuckles reduce deformation risk under lateral impact. They are better suited to heavy offroad use than stock plastic parts.

Do I need extra tools to fit them

Standard hobby tools are sufficient for installation. Keep a thread locker and torque check on the set screws, and verify bearing seating during assembly.

Will this affect rear-end geometry

The kit is a direct replacement so geometry changes are minimal, though you should confirm clearance with larger wheels or altered suspension settings.
