This kit is a 1:72 scale plastic representation of the Swedish Strv 103C, intended as a compact entry for small armoured vehicle displays and diorama work.
The Stridsvagn 103 (S-Tank) was a Swedish main battle tank notable for its turretless, very low silhouette. Entering service from the 1960s, around 300 examples were produced. The 103C upgrade from 1986 brought an upgraded fire-control system, a Detroit Diesel replacement engine, laser ranging equipment and additional armour modifications applied in later updates. The type was phased out in favour of modern main battle tanks by the late 1990s.
The kit concentrates on external shapes and scale proportions rather than interior features. The included parts and sprue configuration reflect the compact, hull-centred layout of the original vehicle. Marking options correspond to Swedish service paint schemes. Modelmakers should plan light-to-moderate painting and weathering to achieve an authentic small-scale finish.
A compact representation that captures the Strv 103C's unusual turretless form; well suited to enthusiasts assembling a small-scale Cold War MBT model.
